What We Offer
The Maternity Services Consumer Council provides:
- Information on maternity services to individuals and to other community groups.
- Access to our information files for school, nursing and midwifery students.
- A pamphlet Choices for Childbirth which is available free of charge in English, Te Reo, Samoan, Tongan, Niuean, Cook Island Maori, Mandarin, Simplified Chinese, Burmese, Japanese, Korean, Somali, Arabic, Farsi and Spanish.
- A pamphlet Labour and Birth - Your Choice which is available free of charge in English.
- A pamphlet After the Birth - Your Choice which is available free of charge in English.
- A pamphlet Caesarean Section - The Facts which is available at a small cost in English.
- A quarterly newsletter which is sent out to all individual and group members.
- Consumer representatives for health committees and working parties at both a local and national level.
